If you want fresh tasting fish that doesn't impoverish you, go to Nico's!! Definitely worth the price and the portions were pretty generous. We ordered the ahi poke bowl (my husband said best he's ever had!!!!!!) it's like a lomi poke with a light drizzle of spicy mayo over the top. My sister got the nico burrito, the nico is like a battered fried fish, despite being my least favorite of was still excellent. I got the catch of the day fish plate with yellowtail blackened. Omg it was sooooo good. Lots of fish on the plate, and the plate itself had balanced colorful sides. Felt super satisfied and healthy after eating it all. This place had a long line, let me tell you. I give atmosphere 4 stars just because it's a tiny spot and the line is ridiculous. Parking is also extremely difficult but not something the restaurant has any control over. We will be back on a Tuesday at 2pm at some point to get our food but avoid waiting in line for 30 minutes and finding parking for another 30 minutes.

Seriously canβt get enough of this place. I think about the burritos multiple times a week. Canβt decide between the Nico or ahi burrito. Fish is extremely fresh, people are extremely friendly. Preorder online to avoid the wait. Lots of love put into this spot. Iβll be a forever customer as long as I live here!!

Absolutely amazing place! The atmosphere has a fantastic beachside vibe, and the food is exceptionally delicious. I highly recommend it! No matter how long the wait is, itβs worth every single minute. Iβll definitely be coming back again and again!

Oh my goodness what a fantastic little spot that delivers super fresh fish! I had the poke (itβs like a premade style one no rice or anything extra) but it was so good! I dipped with chips and added their yummy hot sauce! Then we ordered the Nicoβs taco! If youβre in San Diego definitely stop by! We stopped in for lunch want too busy and staff were friendly!

We came here twice. The first time we got the Nico fish plate, which was good but didnβt blow us away. And there was quite a wait to order, get food, and then sit down since itβs a popular spot. The second time around we got the poke bowl and the green curry with red snapper. The poke bowl was delicious, but the curry was the real sleeper. It tasted extremely bright and fresh and bursting with such depth of flavor. It seems underrated so definitely give it a try.
